  1. Greetings Rochelle,

Since coming to Charlottesville, Virginia, I have heard from various sources that you served well as the Assistant City Manager of Charlottesville. I have come to know you best and been impressed by your leadership and commitment to the peservation of Jefferson School (preservation of the Jefferson School building and property as a historic landmark) that is one of a few historic evidences of the presence of African American in Charlottesville. I have also appreciated your membership and participation in Charlottesville’s African American Authors Book Club.

I bid you Godspeed as you assume your new position as the Assistant City Manager for Public Development in Savannah, Georgia.

    In Mutuality,

    Uriah J Fields (U.J.)
