On May 8th, I asked Chairman of Democrats for Change David RePass the following:

"Now that the election is over, I am wondering what the status is of Democrats for Change. Do you consider it a faction within the Charlottesville Democratic Party as it has been described in the press [and as it describes itself on its home page]?

What do you see as the role of Democrats for Change in the near future? Can I assume that it is still made up only of those individuals which subscribe to its platform? Do you intend to remain Chairman?

David answered as follows (electronic mail, May 9, 2000):

"George --

Good questions. We are trying to figure out the answers ourselves. I have called a meeting of the original members [all 70 to 80 members who built the Platform] and we will all get together and sort this out. I'll let you know what we decide -- but final decisions will not be made until well into June."

Back on January 21st, the Steering Committee of Democrats for Change was made up of David RePass, Chairman, Kevin Burke, Martha Gleason, Greg Jackson, Joy Johnson, Kevin Lynch, Brent Nelson, Moji Olaniyan, Kay Peaslee, Joe Szakos, John Wheeler, and Priscilla Whiting.
