The crazy right wing has gone from plain wackiness to sublimely wacky!

It is difficult to comprehend how any mortal with a scintilla of gray matter could come up with anything more insane than arming teachers and school administrators!

Picture, if you will, this nightmarish scenario. A crazed, psychotic gunman, determined to kill as many human beings as possible, shoots the security guard at a school and enters the premises. Imagine, if you will, this individual outfitted similarly to the Aurora, Colorado murderer, with full body armor, including neck protection, a military style helmet and enough fire power, in the form of a choice of any number of semi automatic pistols or rifles, to wipe out the entire student population...everyone is caught off guard as they scramble for their weapons, the gunman bursts into a classroom, a cafeteria, a library firing at anyone within sight! Teachers are wearing sidearms and as they attempt to pull their weapon from its holster, they are shot on the spot and the gunman methodically proceeds with the massacre! Panic ensues, students and faculty are running everywhere, a survivor attempts to return fire, compounding an already unworldly scene of utter chaos and manages to shoot innocents caught in the crossfire!

This isn't fantasy, Adam Lanza the Sandy Hook killer, had and did many of the above listed items as he went about his murderous spree.

Yet, our own governor suggests we arm school personnel!

This is nuts!

These perpetrators of mass slaughter are on the offensive; they plan the details, control the timing and know exactly how to handle the weapons they use.

Well-trained police officers, who know how to use their weapons, skilled in defensive tactics, are often killed in the line of duty and yet these looney politicians think an armed teacher or principal will be a match against a crazed gunman in body armor, armed to the teeth!

If it wasn't so tragic it might border on Monty Python-like comedy!
