Democrats need to court rural voters. Mark Warner's election shows that. We don't need to pander to them, we just need to let them know we care and are listening to their concerns.

Kerry should have taken his campaign to many red states. Courting Southerners and rural voters might not have carried any of them but it would have made the difference in Ohio.
