Photos from Eyes Wide Open, the American Friends Service Committee’s widely-acclaimed exhibition on the human cost of the Iraq War, on display at the First Amendment Monument on 10/21/06. The exhibit featured a pair of boots honoring each military casualty from Virginia, and a field of shoes to memorialize the Iraqis killed in the conflict. In addition, visitors wrote comments on the monument in response to the exhibit.
