George,

The time for peace has passed. Terrorists do not speak the language of diplomacy nor peace. Protests for peace are ammunition for our enemies. Interviews, essays and stories from North Vietnamese Officers reveal that they banked on the political unrest of peace activists in the United States in order to win the war in Vietnam - and they did (or at least we lost).

In February of 1965, the Viet Cong attack at Pleiku forced President Johnson (D) to order a heavy reprisal attack of North Vietnam, in March, sustained bombing of North Vietnam and Operation Rolling Thunder. We had 185,000 troops in Vietnam then.

Students and hippies all over were so drugged out that they would follow any cause that would seem to keep their focus until their next acid trip.

While the 185,000 soldiers were in Vietnam, what we the young 'adults' doing back in the U.S.? Well, Augustus Stanley mass-produced LSD (acid), Norman Morrison immolated himself in front of Pentagon, Roger LaPorte immolated himself in front of United Nations building and SANE (Committee for a Sane Nuclear Policy) sponsored anti-war demonstrations in Washington DC.

These same peace activists are the parents, idols and icons of today's peace and love freaks like Lloyd Snook (VADP). I make no bones about the fact that I think Lloyd Snook is from the same recipe used to make DNC Chairman, Terry McAuliffe - but I digress...

Right now our military troops, who voluntarily signed up to do a job - provide the rest of us with liberties such as Freedom and Peace, are working hard on the other side of the globe. They are putting their lives on the line so that we may continue to enjoy ours. What kind of message are peace activists sending to the very people who are ensuring that we may continue to have peace? It's absolutely ridiculous that these people continue on with their ignorant activities without any real logic guiding their way!

Stop bombing during Ramadan? That too is ridiculous. Iran and Iraq fought continuously through Ramadan. Islamic custom has exempted "soldiers of Allah" from the fasting. Soldiers of Allah are soldiers involved in the Jihad against "any and all Americans found anywhere on earth".

I guarantee that if I threaten your life by saying," George, I am going to come over to your house tonight and kill you and your family" you are not going to wait for me to come over so that you can reason with me. You are going to call the Police immediately, aren't you??? Usama Bin Laden has given the same threat.

If peace protestors believe in their cause so much, I encourage them to make a choice:

A.) Let me find them a flight into Afghanistan to persuade the Taliban of theirs ways. I'll even help pay for the flight, or all of it if I can afford it.

B.) Follow their predecessors like Norman Morrison and Roger LaPorte

C.) See my side of the issue and agree with me

Standing among peace demonstrators at the Federal Court House, Will Lyster holds signs proclaiming Political Correctness Costs Lives. Profile! and War is Hell. Lets Get On With It!

Politcal Correctness costs lives. We need to get over the fact that humans instinctively 'Profile'. Our sensitivity to 'profiling' has discouraged us to report dangerous activites or suspicious activities. About a week before the attack on the World Trade Center and pentagon, an American airline passenger noted that several Arab-looking men were on his flight, staring straight ahead during the entire flight and taking notes. Thank goodness he chose not to 'profile', eh?

Standing at the Federal Court House, Jenn holds signs saying Military Action Provides National Security and Peace Has A Price while peace demonstrator Alex Davis holds a sign saying "an eye for an eye makes the world blind."

We have had many years of peace and now that is threatened. We are now at war because Peace has a Price. We let our guard down, and got a real smack in the face because we spent more time chasing businessmen like Bill gates, than terrorists like Usama Bin Laden. Now we need to unite, fight and restore our freedom and the time of peace we have been enjoying. The dangers of inaction will cost us more than current military action.

By the way, I am not espousing the fact that the war in Vietnam was providing freedom and peace for the U.S. However, this current military action does provide national security and peace for the United States of America, its allies and other nations of peace and prosperity.

Will Lyster (electronic mail, November 1, 2001).
