George,

Ok, what the hell, I nominated you [for the Hugh M. Hefner First Amendment Award]. In all honesty I can't think of who deserves it more. I was requested to write a brief description of you so I stole your BIO and put these words down on my own:

I have known George Loper for seven years now and have not yet been able to persuade him to see the way of conservatives. I disagree with almost every one of his political beliefs. He will never learn and will probably be liberal to the grave (and happy).

However, George runs a great website, The Widening Gyre - http://www.loper.org/~george which covers a variety of hot topics including Family and Community interests, Political Happenings and news around the world.

As the Editor, George is careful to allow all forms of free speech without censorship unless the article is absolutely and unconditionally offensive to everyone. I am thankful for this as I feel I am the only conservative fighting for our beliefs in our local area and this is a great outlet for me to encourage liberals and others to see things my way.

I was also asked to refer two other people (names, address, business, phone, email) so that Playboy could get references and see if you are worthy.
