The White Dog Cafe is a sweet little restaurant in the University of Pennsylvania area on 3420 Sansom Street in Philadelphia.

A former resident of the building was scholar, teacher, spiritualist and co-founder of the Theosophical Society, Helena Blauntsky, who had a mysterious encounter with a white dog, for whom the Cafe is named.

In this same eclectic tradition, the White Dog Cafe hosts cafe 'Table Talks' on such topics as 'The Moral Life of the Inner City,' 'Social and Ethical Considerations of Biotechnology,' and 'Sex and Sexuality in 20th Century America.'

In the bathroom downstairs labeled Democrats there is a large painting of Ken Starr with the caption underneath saying, "'He's Watching You.'"

In the Republican bathroom, there is a full interior mural painted to look like you are sitting in the middle of a litter box. (Complete with sand mixed into the paint and a black cat viewed form the rear as it is exiting the box and kicking up litter.)

In the Pointers bathroom, there is a full interior mural or a picnic scene with a female boxer dog crouching to go to the bathroom and a male lifting his leg over an ant picnic spread.

While in the Setters bathroom, there is a full interior mural of a female dog's powder room.

I believe the Democrats got the best deal.
