George: I sort of agree with Paul Goldman, though if you note, he has no prescription. "Do something unusual," he says. OK. But what? The fact is that Tom won last time by rejecting a lot of conventional advice. I think that Tom already knows the only thing that Goldman actually says -- that if he runs a "usual" race, he loses. Last time, Tom's "unusual" race included themes like a culture of service, tithing volunteer hours, no corporate PAC contributions, etc. He didn't run in 2008 as a Pelosi clone, and he won't be running as a Pelosi clone this time either. His ad guys are pretty good, and I have faith. Faith, of course, is belief in something that you can't see. Have faith, guys. Lloyd Snook (August 21, 2010)
