"Supporters of Creigh Deeds will kick off an ‘Educational Opportunity Tour’ Tuesday, October 20th, to highlight Deeds’ strong record of investing in public education and his plan to move Virginia’s public schools forward. Supporters will ride a yellow school bus for the three-day, seven stop tour through Virginia. Virginia First Lady Anne Holton will join VEA President Dr. Kitty Boitnott, parents and various community and elected leaders on the first leg of the three-day bus tour—to attract Deeds’ backers at press events in Charlottesville, Petersburg, and Richmond.

The ‘Educational Opportunity Tour’ will continue Wednesday, October 21st with stops in Falls Church, Leesburg, and Winchester, and on Thursday, October 22nd with a stop in Roanoke.

This tour will demonstrate that Creigh Deeds is the clear and only choice in this race when it comes to increasing access to college, providing needed funding for educators and public schools, and protecting Virginia’s children." (Deeds Campaign Press Release, October 19, 2009)
