Almost 51% of active voters in the district turned out to vote.
On her FaceBook page, Neff wrote "I am sad for Virginia and
disappointed in my fellow citizens who sat this election out. Such serious
decisions made by such a fraction of the people! But I am so very happy
to have been associated with such a great team. There is not a greater team
of people on the planet than the one I've been working with for the past
8 months. You all have a piece of my heart."
