Hurrah for Nancy Pelosi. Would that there be more Democratic leaders as strong as she is. She is not out to win popularity contests; she is out to get things done. (Her current poll ratings are 26 percent positive, 42 percent negative.) It is getting things done that wins votes at election time.

Now on to the Senate where, unfortunately, we have a weak reed (Harry Reid).
