George,

I am an animal rescuer living locally. I run a home-based rescue for senior, hospice, and animals needing rehabiliation. Through the rescue animals that I work with, I see animal neglect and abuse on a regular basis. Needless to say, I don't like it.

I believe that how we treat animals is a reflection of our humanity and our society. To my way of thinking, a person that advocates for the voiceless--animals and children--is the person that I want to speak for me.

For that reason, I am casting my vote in the Virginia Gubernatorial Primary for Brian Moran. He is being endorsed by the Humane Society Legislative Fund (non-partisan). Brian Moran consistently supported animal protection bills during his twelve years in the General Assembly. These bills included legislation to prohibit the sale of garments containing dog and cat fur, establishing felony penalties for animal fighting, and cracking down on puppy mills.

I'm sure that many of us have a "cause" that is most important to us; one that we would like to promote. I do too--it is animal welfare. Brian Moran has shown the public that he is willing to do what is right through his actions on behalf of animals. Please join me in voting for Brian Moran.
