George, Back in the 1960 campaign between John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon, JFK at one point said, "when I began this campaign, I just wanted to beat Richard Nixon. Now, I want to save the country from him!" I have evolved to the point where I feel that this nation must be saved from both Hillary Clinton and John McCain! After John McCain enthusiastically accepted the endorsement from Pastor John Hagee, I thought, "Hagee makes Jeremiah Wright seem downright moderate!" Hagee supports the destruction of Iran, not because he is sympathetic to Israel, but because he says it will indicate God's final destruction of sin and most Americans on the East Coast and West Coast, (he's from Texas) will be eliminated in a final nuclear holocaust - only 144,000 "converted" Jews will survive, 12,000 per each of the twelve tribes (how neat, a perfect gross!). McCain apparently saw nothing wrong with this madness. Hillary Clinton says that if Iran were to attack Israel - the United States would "obliterate" Iran (her exact word) - these are candidates for the presidency of the United States? I couldn't help comparing her "obliterate" to the words of the demented cold war warrior Curtis LeMay. "We should bomb the Viet Nam back to the Stone Age" Pandering, to a large extent by both McCain and Clinton, seems to be their stock in trade. I am finding it increasingly difficult to say who is worse. Both of them supporting a tax holiday on gasoline is just another in a long list of "selling out" for a vote. History has shown that what candidates represent before the election, are usually a good indication of what they will represent in their performance in office. McCain AND Clinton are scaring me!
