This [Even With Obama, the Black Vote Isn't Certain] is more about national than state politics. I agree with one of my former graduate students, a leading expert on contemporary politics, who says that, in future, only multicultural parties will win national elections. The question Republicans must answer is how can they attract African-Americans, Hispanics, Asians, and young people. Because of the values they hold they probably can't do this. All of which means that the supremacy of the white man's party is likely to be over in the U.S.
