George,

I think Mo Nichols has made an important observation about the Ewards affair. The usual reaction of someone caught or suspected of a wrongdoing is to deny. For Edwards to not only (finally) admit the affair but to understand the role narcissim played in this means that he is also not in denial about what he did and the impact this has had on his family.

This affair has surely hurt his reputation and credibilty. Too bad the media hasn't had the same insight Mo has. It is a message that needs to be heard by those in powerful places and by the public in general. Married men in powerful places need to learn it is more important to keep their flys zipped than their mouths!
