The
Annual Dinner of the Fifth District Democratic Committee (formerly known
as the Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner) was held Friday, March 31 at the Forest
Recreation Center, in Bedford County just west of Lynchburg and up the road
a bit from Mr. Jefferson's Poplar Forest.
Speakers included Congressional contenders Bern Ewert and Al Weed, possible
Senate nominee Harris Miller and the campaign manager of his fellow-contender
Jim Webb, and notables Sen. Roscoe Reynolds (20th), Sen. Creigh Deeds (25th),
State Party Chair Dickie Cranwell and Fifth District Chair Fred Hudson.
