I thought Kaine's speech was very good--right on the mark. Reasoned, impartial, conciliatory towards Republicans. He hit just the right note. Of course, coming after Bush, listeners were not interested in more speechifying.

Individual Republicans must have lost weight rising and sitting so often. What puppets!

Rep. Charles Rangel from NYC got it just right: Bush's speech completely destroyed the myth of the superiority of the white, male American.
