The original name for this project, begun by Palestinians and Israelis, was "10,000 KITES FOR PEACE.

The project has grown so large that, at this point, Israelis and Palestinians will be flying at least 40,000 KITES with messages of peace to each other in hundreds of locations on both sides of the barrier wall constructed to separate them.
