Mr. Tenney, I worry constantly that our DEMOCRATIC (supposedly) candidates are increasingly in the pockets of the Chamber and in the VERY deep pockets of UVA. with no regard for the actual human constituents that voted them into the legislature. These guys cannot walk the middle. Either they are for working families or big business. Period. You can rest assured that the C'Ville Chamber couldn't care LESS about the wages that their members pay their workers. One thing with Mitch Van Yahres, I never EVER worried about what side he would fall on. It was always for regular working people of our community. I will sure miss him, especially when the management agreement of the charter legislation comes up this fall. I guarantee it will be bad for the employees and we will have yet another battle on our hands. David and Golaith once again. Rest assured we WILL be watching the votes and I do sleep better at night knowing that the term is only for 2 years. It is really sad that every year a minimum wage bill AND a living wage bill is introduced in the GA and it is killed in committee every single time for years and years. To quote Mr. Tenney "GROW SOME HUEVOS", get out of our bedrooms and put forth some good legislation for working families of Virginia. Is that too much to ask for a DEMOCRAT? If so, then I suggest everyone change parties and become a Repiglican. Climbing off my soapbox now. Jan Cornell (electronic mail, May 10, 2005)
