Having worked a few months right after law school as defendant's attorney in misdemeanor court (in Michigan), one way that a trial can be avoided is for the plaintiff to drop the charges. Maybe Mr. Lebo (or whomever) needs some persuasion. The people of Ukraine demonstrated until a crooked election was reversed. If enough of us were to rally in favor of Free Speech & give the accuser enough bad publicity, maybe he would decide it was not worth it to pursue this travesty on free speech.
