Dear George,

Just a comment on Bipartisan Courtesy.

Pres. Bush may have been practicing it during the portrait unveiling, but the Veep sure didn't on the Senate floor the other day. In front of witnesses and cameras, too. And just after they had passed the Defense of Civility Act. Wonderful irony, there.

I was truly, and seriously, shocked at what the VP said to Sen. Leahy. And I'm almost more shocked that hardly anybody else seems to be shocked. The columnists and TV people have been mentioning it, but nobody seems to be truly upset except me. What a horrible example of incivility, vulgarity, crudeness and lots of other bad things.

Have you heard any other comments on Cheney's profanity? I'd love to hear them if you have. I'm still steaming.
