As an attorney with some experience in employment law, I applaud Mitch for a very good analysis.

As an "at will" employment state, and assuming that employers have some minimal rapport, I can't see the "sky is falling" scenario that a lot of employers are envisioning.

Its also somewhat amusing to see the reaction of the majority when commerce bumps up against religion. The last thing I read was about an employee in Waynesboro who resigned because his Christian beliefs would not allow him to work on Sundays. The same legislature so concerned that same sex unions are a danger to traditional marriage should secure this man's right to worship and keep his job...
