Al Weed's chances would be aided by two means in this area: more letters to the editor of all publications supporting Al and encouragement of all efforts at voter registration. Remember when Sabato said Wilder had the same chance of winning the Virginia gubernatorial as an ice cube in hell? And Wilder won! Where there's a will there's a way.

When I looked at the map of the 5th district in the C'VILLE story, it reminded of a big parcel in Vermont which is called "The Eastern Kingdom" or something like that. I think we should name the 5th district "The Middle Kingdom" of King Virgil.
