George, I've just read the new additions to your website, although this note isn't about them... I scrolled all the way to the bottom of the page, though I've not done that for a while, and realized that your "two cents worth" notation at the bottom is illustrated by two pennies -- in "vote for Virgil Goode" bezels. ![]() These are outdated, right? You've just had them up there for so long you forgot, right? Or maybe it's just denial that anyone so supported by Democrats would eventually defect? In any case, I'll be happy to send in a new two-cents for photographs and Meredith [Richards'] campaign. Maybe if we all do -- heck, make it two Dollars -- we can keep the "wealth" of votes from Virgil. Clare Aukofer (electronic mail, September 2, 2002) Editor's Note: The iconic bezels above are not actually intended to encourage you to break open your piggy bank to promote a particular candidate. Nor are they a comment on the 2nd amendment as some people have supposed. I do hope they will encourage you to support the candidates of your choice
and to give your representatives a piece of your mind!
