Having seen the large dry flatlands in the reservior due to reduced water levels, I wonder if there is a possibility that the capacity of the reservior be increased.

I am guessing that removing accumulated material now would be far less expensive than when the reservior were nearer capacity - and clearly extra capacity (or restored capacity lost to sedimentation) appears highly desirable. Any chance our local water authority can take advantage of this 'opportunity' for reservior capacity increase?
