Do I detect a note of sarcasm in Mr Sewell's note?

"Left" to a conservative republican is one who believes that "of the people, by the people, for the people" is some kind of foreign plot! Winning by appealing to the "dark side" of human behavior doesn't do much for good governance.

However, in the final analysis, even a blind pig will find an acorn occasionally.
