Although Mr. Beck tells me that we are technically not City employees, I have always thought of myself as one. Therefore, I do adhere to the personnel policies as I know them. That of course means that I do not carry a weapon while conducting City business. However, some have told me that my mouth is a dangerous weapon that does not kill but can maim. I fight this part of my irreverent personality all the time.

I have never had a carry permit. I do own several weapons and was brought up with the use of weapons of all types. Since elected, I have not had the opportunity to practice with them much, but I do like shooting, particularly skeet.

I do not understand why anyone would see the need to carry a weapon into a school or municipal building. This totally befuddles me. ...
