Taxes are the cost of government. ....I, for one, am tired of the "no tax game" .......we have one of the lowest tax rates among the states and among the nations. I don't consider that a special honor. I DO consider it irresponsible politicking. A "dark side" appeal to greed.

I also consider the lame, "Read my lips" and Not over my dead body" excuses for responsible leadership and loaded with hypocrisy! Macho garbage. If income taxes, in Virginia, were raised, say, .5%, who would suffer? The benefits would far outweigh the cost. But it takes courage, a commodity sadly lacking in those we call "leaders."

The Bush and GOP tax proposals are particularly repugnant and onerous. Robin Hood in reverse!
