I agree completely with your comments about Gov. Warner's first executive order on non-discrimination in state government failing to include sexual orientation as a protected category. I'm terribly disapointed. He needs to hear from all of us who worked for his election expecting progressive leadership. The time has come for justice on this issue!

The Charlottesville community has a dream of preserving the Jefferson School as a public life long learning center maintaining the high quality central pre-school program and other community service programs that are there now. This is a dream that honors the African American heritage that the school represents and a dream befitting a world class city. Now that the schoolboard has tossed the responsibility to City Council, we are looking for city councilors with the vision and knowhow to help us achieve this dream.
