It has come to my attention that my answer to a question on your web page last week about City Council candidates taking a position on sodomy laws, may have been misunderstood since I did not express my personal view on such laws.

The purpose of this letter is to assure your readers that I am opposed to sodomy laws and that, specifically, I think Virginia's antiquated sodomy law should be repealed.
