George,

As I think on the student attacks and media attention I am reminded of the "one punch club" popular around 1992-93. This was a group of Charlottesville area (not necessarily Charlottesville High School) youths
that would drive around the university area and target students. New members of the club were admitted if they could knock out a UVA student with one punch.

These problems are not new and they were not caused by the media. Let's face it, there would be no media frenzy if the attacks had not taken place. When I read about the concerns of the image of CHS and CHS students, I am concerned that the school and some students are more concerned with damage control and spin than with the real problem.
