Several high-ranking GOP officials familiar with Bush's thinking, including some at the White House, said Gilmore had a hard time accepting direction from the White House (Dow Jones News, November 30, 2001).

George:

Gilmore also has had a hard time accepting realities relating to the Virginia Commonwealth budget, at great expense to education in the Commonwealth at every level.

By the way, Jane Maddux commercials say that she is "leading the charge" on the fight against breast cancer. I'd like to find out what "leading the charge" means, because it sounds like some major resume inflation to me. (Working on Martha's Market isn't what I would call "leading the charge on the fight against breast cancer; I'd call it "participating in the charge.")
