George,

I think the Democratic party has to become extremely disciplined. It can't be all things to all people, but it could stand up for itself when it is denounced as being LIBERAL.

Dam right we are liberal. The Democratic Party is for the ppeople and the Republicans are for the rich. Liberal means we take care of our own. That includes everyone, even the Republicans. Every Republican alive today or descended from a Republican is living and enjoying the benefits fought for and achieved by the Democratic Party, i.e. social security, medicare, medicade, the GI Bill and all the advances NASA has discovered in science, including the internet.

The Republican Party takes care of corporations which are non human entities. Yea, Shareholders get their pidily dividends, and CEO's are now earning 458 times what the lowest paid worker earns. It wouldn't surporise me if alot of those low paid workers voted Republican, especially if they were white males. Poor people who vote Republican have a lottery mentality. In case they ever get rich, they want to have their corporate interests protected.
