George,

Virgil Goode, our "Independent", endorsing Jane Maddux because ( I paraphrase) "we need a woman in the Virginia Senate" is another laughable comment from this campaign.

Has Virgil suddenly becoming a "liberated conservative"? Now that is an oxymoron. I have never felt much in the way of support for women's issues coming from Virgil Goode.

I think, fundamentally, I am so angry with this travesty, re: Maddux running on Emily's good name, that, equanimity is not part of my vocabulary at this time.

We know Jane Maddux offers nothing in the way of experience or conviction (well, she is a member of "Ducks Unlimited" ). Just wanting the job doesn't cut it.

So I must give Virgil grudging credit that at least he recognizes that he doesn't have much except to tell us that Jane Maddux is female!
