I can't say how likely a Gore win is, but fatalism is in the eye of the beholder. The idea that the best we can do is Gore is likely to leave us with a Gore presidency. That vacuous scrupleless chameleon will do very little for people in or out of this country, and is supported in great part by voters who would all rather vote for Nader if only all the others would. There's an answer to this sort of tragedy of the commons, and it ain't called fatalism.
