Dear George, What struck me about the positions that David RePass handed out [at the November 18, 2000 Democratic Breakfast in Charlottesville] was that there was nothing about technology and its impact on jobs - most young adults are not as worried about a "living wage" (this is not implying that that issue is not important!) as they are about what types of jobs are available and what it is going to take to get and hold them - access to technological education and training should be a part of any education platform, and the candidate who can talk about the future in terms of technology will get the attention and vote of young people. That's why I think Mark Warner is going to do very well in that age group. Sue Lewis (electronic mail, November 22, 2000).
