I don't care whether you are for or against the death penalty, the twenty-one day rule should be an affront to rational human beings everywhere. Who could possibly condone or in any way justify killing an innocent person -- especially considering what we have seen lately about evidence amd procedures from some police departments around the country?

45 days is not an acceptable compromise. I think, with all due respect to anti death penalty people, the issue now should be not executing innocent people with stupid "I can kill more people than you" macho attitudes exemplified by 21 day type rules.

And I'm not even entirely against capital punishment.
