Previous to Ralph Nader's speech at the University of Virginia's Wilson Hall, there was a rally of around twenty or thirty progressive activists on the north steps of the Rotunda, sponsored by Critical Mass and by Campus Green Vote. ![]() Linda Chavez-Thompson of the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations will be in town on Monday, March 28th. She will have lunch in Newcomb with a few members of the Labor Action Group and University employees. Then she will talk at 7 in the evening in 153 Campbell Hall, next to the Culbreth Theater near Beta Bridge. As part of Linda Chavez Thompson's visit to the UVA campus, a representative from the AFL-CIO Organizing Institute will be on campus to talk to students interested in internship and job placement opportunities as union organizers. Carla Naranjo will be available to to interview folks for the Organizing Institute Training Program and Union Summer on Monday, March 27th and Tuesday, March 28th.
