I find [Erin Garvey's] letter disturbing.

Maurice is to be applauded, not vilified, for trying to bring more young people into the democratic process. If anything, there were far too FEW students on hand at the Mass Meeting (and far too few African-Americans as well -- another constituency that this party has unfortunately neglected).

Maurice won a convincing victory on Monday night, with a broad base of support from all precincts and all sectors of the party. Let's not now cast aspersions on his well-deserved success.
