Howdy George!

I have been a very serious supporter of John McCain for the last 18 months. As a veteran (USAF 1980-1986), I have a great deal of respect for his courage as a Prisoner of War. I have to admit that after reading his book, I also liked his rowdy background and love for our Country.

Lately I have really become a fan of his self-deprecating humor and the fact that he really seems to liven up the Republican Caucus (Bad language and all).

I disagree with him on a couple of policy positions (removing the tax deduction for gifts of appreciated stock to tax-exempt organizations), but feel that he is a straight shooter.

Finally, I like my friends in the Republican establishment, and consider myself to be part of the establishment. I have never liked being told how to think or act and feel that McCain's appeal will give our party new life.

If I am not mistaken, every Republican Ticket for President since 1960 (I think that there was one exception), has had either a Nixon, Dole, or Bush on the ticket. I think that its time that we begin to color outside the lines!

Brian Campbell

P.S. Thanks for doing your part to keep me from slipping into obscurity!
