On
October 30, 1999, local Democrats gathered at the Central Place on the Downtown
Charlottesville Mall to support candidates Emily Couric, Mitch Van Yahres,
Ed Wayland, Curtis Byers, Lindsay Dorrier, Charles Martin and others.
They were entertained by John D'Earth and his trumpet
and by members of Mount Zion Baptist Church Choir.
