"DICK MORRIS and
JAMES CARVILLE squared off recently
while representing opposing candidates in Honduras's presidential election.
Morris didn't even know Carville was involved, until after the vote. Carville's
candidate, CARLOS FLORES, won by 11 percentage points. Now Morris is crying
corruption. At the last minute, the Honduran Congress, where Flores has
considerable power, voted to allow citizens to cast their ballots without
presenting an I.D. As a result, says Morris, 200,000 more votes were cast
than in previous years, costing Morris's candidate, NORA DE MELGAR, the
election" (George Magazine, March 1998).
