In one of the shortest Charlottesville Democratic Party conventions in memory, 98 delegates from Charlottesville's eight precincts chose David Toscano and Blake Caravati as candidates for City Council, after Neal Gropen gracefully acceded defeat and moved to accept their nominations on Saturday (February 28th). They will face Michael Crafaik (R) and James F. King, Jr. (I) in the general election on May 5th.
