Dear MoveOn member near Charlottesville, Our good friend and colleague, Lisa Witter, is a finalist in Showtime's new reality TV show called "American Candidate." She needs your help today, Monday June 21st, in Charlottesville to stay in the race against a group of horribly right-wing candidates. Details are in Lisa's message below. Lisa is a terrific spokesperson for the issues we care about -- on everything from Iraq to the economy. Please help her out today. It's going to really be hard to get people out on a workday for this vote, that's taking place only in Charlottesville, so every vote you get out will make a big difference. I am one of only two Democrats left on the show (we're up against some very conservative candidates). IF I DO NOT GET OUT THE VOTE I WILL BE ELIMINATED FROM THE SHOW! Polls are open until 8 p.m. on Sunday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday June 21st. There are three polling locations in Charlottesville, Va. We need supporters to physically show up at the polling place. Anyone with a valid driver's license from any state may vote, including people that are not 18 or who are not registered to vote in Virginia. You must bring your drivers license.
